Philosophy may be like seeing a ghost

Continuing from the last issue, I would like to continue my contemplation on ghostly being.

Ghosts are neither alive nor dead.
In my previous article, I recommended that we try to imagine ghostly beings.
However, I have never seen a ghost.
Invisibility is an important property of ghost.
But isn’t this invisibility a general property rather than a special property of ghostly beings?

For example, the invisibility of space(空間) and time(時間).
The current time is 22:36, but this is a series of numbers displayed by a clock that measures time, not time itself.

It must be difficult to see(み(=見, 観, 視, 看)る) a human being(人間), too.
What are we seeing at?
What does it mean “to see a human being” ?

Thus, thinking about ghostly being is not one or the other of Shakespeare’s “To be, or not to be.”
To think about of between(間) life and death, “Otherwise than Being”, which may be a hint for thinking about space(空間), time(時間) and human being(人間).

Philosophy and ghost can surprise and awaken people.
Philosophy may be like seeing a ghost.

見る=seeing, 観る=viewing, 視る=checking, 看る=caring
